Troubles with lines primitives

Sometimes my lines have color but sometimes they''re rendered in black ?? This is happened when I rotate my scene couple of times and when I rendered another pirimitives (i.e spheres with their own texture).. I used vertex color for the format and turned off all the lighting.. I don''t know the answer.. is there any way that I can make sure that my lines show their color ? render states.. something like that ??

Be careful about what material is active when rendering your lines. If you haven''t set a material you might get random results.

You''ve disabled your lights, that''s a step...
SetRenderState( D3DRS_LIGHTING, FALSE ); right?
also make sure you just use your vertex color info in the texture Stage.
pDevice->SetTextureStageState(0, D3DTSS_COLORARG1, D3DTA_DIFFUSE);
pDevice->SetTextureStageState(0, D3DTSS_COLOROP, D3DTOP_SELECTARG1);

That should do it, hopefully.
