I''ve noticed that the statement auto-completion functionality in Visual C++ 6.0 is a bit spotty, especially with DirectX. Parameters and/or members will show up for some things, but not for others. It appears to be somewhat random, and it''s pretty frustrating. Does anyone have a way to make sure statement auto-completion will work? Thanks in advance!

IIRC, adding the header files that contain the prototypes you are interested in to your project will do the trick. Good luck!

Just to fill you in, its called intellisense. It is terrible in VC6 but they revamped it in .NET (far better intellisense). Just live off the class view tree since its very inconsistent in VC6.

You can use Visual Assist for VC++ 6, get it at http://www.wholetomato.com/ , it has a pretty good intellisense.
