I know there is .x format and at the most basic level I can load individual meshes.. say 10 meshes that make up a walking mesh but what ar emy options beyond that? What abotu bones and controlling bones ? or loading canned animations (MDL format) ? I guess it seems what I would like is for example make a biped in character studio and making a 30 frame walking animation and be able to load up the ONE mesh and play the animation At the moment I am creating animations with POSER 5 but I am pretty sure you cant export them with bones to character studio.? anyways.. what are the options with Direct X and animations?
