I have made a program that reads in a wave-file and plays it using DirectAudio 8. Simple task for you guys i presume However, the next thing I want to do, is to send this file over a socket in a client/server program, and for the client to write the wav to disk. I have the WAV loaded into the IDirectMusicSegment8 *pSound using pLoader->LoadObjectFromFile(............). Now, I want to separate the header-data from the waves sound-buffer-data. I would also like to split the soundbufferdata into smaller chunks so that I can do some kinda streaming with it. So how do I extract this data?!?!? Is it even possible? As you can see, my main problem is I have no Idea what datatypes I am dealing with here, so any info would be most helpful!!! Thanks alot guys, Tron "That''s Tron. He fights for the users."
