There is a huge amount of DirectX documentation that comes with the SDK. If for some reason you don''t feel that this is adequate, then you need to step back and study a little programming theory as well as specifics to the language of your choice (c/c++/object pascal, whatever).
Then, when you come back to the docs you''ll see the wealth of information available. MSDN has a lot of interesting information as well.
>>Just to let you know, you don''t need to go out and buy the OpenGL guide as it''s available online...
Buy it anyways...it''s much easier to read from a book than a segmented online document. Plus, it looks good on your office bookshelf. =P
