I''m trying to compile the source of a game which uses the SMPEG library. However, I use Dev-C++ and mingw, not VC++, so I have a problem. I can''t find any mingw versions of the SMPEG libs Does anyone know how I could either create mingw compatible libs for it? Or maybe someone''s already converted the libs, and I could have a copy of the converted files? John B

I''ve attempted to build you a copy of the SMPEG library for MinGW32 (i586) with Debian''s MinGW cross compiler. I''m pretty sure it turned out okay, but I can''t be certain since I haven''t really tested it.

It was configured with: ./configure --host=i586-mingw32msvc --prefix=/usr/i586-mingw32msvc --enable-gtk-player=no --enable-opengl-player=no --enable-debug=no

The package is here (737 KB; including libsmpeg.la, libsmpeg.a, and smpeg-config): http://libhfs.sourceforge.net/tmpfol/smpeg-i586-mingw32.tar.gz

I assume you have or can get the necessary headers.
