collision detection

I was just looking at lesson 31 again, collision detection, and was wondering if anyone out there has successfully modified it to be able to handle finite, bounded variable sized planes and cylinders, rather than the infinite length cylinders/planes it has now. I gave it a shot but my attempt at it leaves much to be desired I''m afraid. Any thoughts on how to go about it?

Do your self a favor, go to gametutorials.com and read the collision tutorials starting with normals and moving on. Be sure you understand each tutorial fully before moving on and you will have it in no time.

This is what i did and i use it all the time, its great. I read 6 tutorials in all.
