i am pretty new to game programming and was wondering which language i should learn. I have a book on C++ but it is only on the basics, i don''t know which language between C and C++ would be better

1. You should learn C first, then C++! C++ builds on C, so you need a firm grasp of those fundamentals!
2. You should learn C++! Since it''s a superset of C, you''ll then know both!

There are more details to each of these arguments, but what is important to remember is that by the time you are a competent programmer you''ll know more than one language. You won''t be able to help it. So it doesn''t matter WHAT you start with (as long as it''s not INTERCAL). With that said, I suggest C++, simply because most good C++ books focus on both design and coding.
