bsp, scene graphs, meshes? eeek

hello I think from what ive read bsp trees are used for efficeintly storing the static scene geometry. So what about scene graphs, is a bsp tree is a scene graph? And where do meshes come in? Is a bsp tree a form of mesh? I need a way to efficiently organise loads of dynamic objects in my very basic engine. Things like rockets, debris from explosions, players moving about, etc. which stratergy is best. Can someone please provide answers to my above Q''s and help me clear up a few points. Thanks in advance and a merry Xmas everyone.
