perhaps use another compikler to do the final compilation eg dev-c++ (beware though it might find a lot of bugs that vc missed)

Weither you can ship applications build with the compiler depends on which version you purchased. The Standard version (learning version) cannot be used to build software products you intend to sell. The Professional version and up can be provided it was obtained in accordance with the licence agreement (you were a student when you bought it).

As Run_The_Shadows mentioned, you can, in fact, contact Microsoft (there should be a number provided with the licence) and verify this information. It''s what I would do.

Since it is academic version it is valid as long as you''re a student. When you leave college/uni the license expires. Also, you''re not allowed to sell the software compiled with it since it is a personal use license only.
