Hello everyone . I wanted to ask a question on changing the transparancy in d3dx. I''ve got the basic alpha blended stuff down, but I''m not sure how to change the transparency for a piticular object. I think it has to do with materials (like the fireworks example), but i''m not sure how to put it into the rendering loop, or what RenderStates I need to set up. Also, what effect to the other SRCBLEND and DESTBLEND do? My 3D card only supports D3DBLEND_ONE (my cards screwed... on most commercial 3D games, textures don''t display, only lightmaps... and most Blending doesn''t work eather. odd, but the hercules refuses to do anything about it, and even ignores my emails). Anyways, anyone know how you would change the transparancy level of an object (D3DVERTEX and D3DLVERTEX)? Any help would be greatly appreciated though! -Doddler
