jpg-loading from c-code under linux (and windows)

Recommended Posts

our project needs to import jpg-files (textures), but we have no idea which library to use for this. our software must work under linux and windows, so the jpg-lib should be portable. any suggestions anyone? libjpeg? are there any others (good ones, that is)?? what do you people use?

libjpeg is really the only choice.

thanks!

though i''m having trouble using it. even the example.c
coming with it causes the libjpeg to crash in
jpeg_read_header() (latest sources)... ;( aw, i''ll have to
check out other sources using it...
