Bitmap question... Windows C++,

   BITMAP bmInfo;
   bitmap.GetObject(sizeof(bmInfo),&bmInfo);
   int width,height,srcx,srcy;

   ------


   dc->BitBlt(picX,picY,width,height,&dcComp,srcx,srcy,SRCCOPY);
 
My question is this This code puts a portion of the bitmap to the screen. I want to make sure its not copying the whole bitmap. I just am taking a peice of the picture. Am I correct with this understanding. Write back or IM me Thanks in Advance...
