DSound slow down.

Can anybody tell me why my D3Dapp is being massively slowed down by DirectSound. It''s not as if i''m overloading it i''m only trying to play, say 5 sound fxs. Im seting LOCDEFER which decides if its hardware and software and using DuplicateBuffer to recreate multiple sounds. Please help

Maybe you use too high sample rate for Primary Buffer.
or
Use mono sample instead of stereo and use DDSB->SetPan()
to Create Stereo effects.
