Bullet travel distance

Ok, I am writing my first game and I got a problem that I can''t fix. All I wan''t is a bullet to travel from the source to the point where the crosshair is. I can''t find solution anywhere in internet. My game has third person view. If someone can help me I''ll be very happy.

Oh, my fault.I didn''t tell that my game is without a mouse and the controlls are: if I move the model right-bottom, then crosshair moves to left-top. Crosshair moves in the opposite direction then the model,like a turret or something. Understand what I mean? Well, the day when I wrote that post I figured out how to make what I want myself. But I think I''ll use ur link when I''ll be writing FPS. Thank u anyway.
