DirectShow problems

I’m trying to display an avi inside a Direct3D game. Problems start when the game in full screen mode and it tries to display a cut scene. The cut scene sound will always play, but the video image doesn''t always play. I’ve been playing around with, and it seems like the video will always play until the back buffer is flipped the first time, and results after that are sporadic. Any help would be appreciated. Some setup // set the parents window pVW->put_Owner((OAHWND)hwnd); // sets the child window pVW->put_WindowStyle(WS_CHILD | WS_CLIPSIBLINGS); // here we create a RECT in which to draw the child window on RECT vwrect; // get the size of the Parent GetClientRect(hwnd,&vwrect); // set the Child to this position pVW->SetWindowPosition(0,0,vwrect.right,vwrect.bottom);
