If someone wants to use OpenGL or D3D to built a 3D Engine isnt it possible to do this only by the use of the OGL or D3D functions already implemented? Which API is more math independent when building s 3d engine?

It''s not possible to understand everyting without knowing the math. If you want to get it completely the math is really important.

About de API''s.. Direct3d uses D3DX to help you with certain such as matrix multiplication and vector things. But if you don''t know what''s happening it''s really difficult to understand them..

With OpenGL you should write the routines for yourself but you can find a lot of help on the internet.
