Xfiles and animation

I wanted to know if anyone knows any good tuts/articles/examples about animation with xfiles. I know how to load and use one with out animation. Im just not sure how to do animation. The books i have read didnt cover animation at all. Thanks for the help.

The best tutorial I know. It's for DirectX 8, but I doubt much is different in DirectX 9; the basics matter most anyway.

Xfiles and their implementation are pretty big areas though. Don't expect to get a full grasp on the subject till you've read the article a few times, read through some ascii xfiles, and delved quite deeply into the included code. A good understanding or previous experience with 3d animation can't hurt either.

Be sure to read through the message board at the end of the article, you need to tweak the code a little to get it compiling.
