Translating/Rotating multiple meshes in Dx8.1

Ciao. How does one move/rotate multiple objects. All the SDK examples only either move/rotate one object, or move the camera and reset the world transform. I am trying to move/rotate (i) The player''s car (external view) (ii) Other AI cars (iii) The track I presume I need to assign a trans/rotate matrix to each object and update each frame, but how can I link the matrix to the mesh? Help, please.

uhmm, you have a mesh class? maybe as a variable of that class? then multiply the mesh''s matrix with the world matrix prior to rendering?
