Weird Error...

I'm just trying to get a simple directx app running and I got as far as setting the display mode. If I don't have the line I have no errors whatsoever so I know that this is what's causing the problem. My line is... lpdd4->SetDisplayMode(640,480,8); and the error is...
    Debug Error !

The Value of ESP was not properly saved across a function call.
This is usually a result of calling a function declared with one calling convention with a function pointer declared with a different calling convention.
Could it be that I'm using a DX7 DirectDraw object with DX9? If so is there a way to use DX7 directDraw in DX9? [edited by - Punx409 on January 22, 2003 2:45:04 AM]
