I have Microsoft Visual C++ 6, I was wondering if there is anyway to make a certain folder the default for when opening up a project. Like when I click on open workspace, it starts at the directory my documents and I have to browse until I get to the folder I''m looking for in a different area of the hardrive. This can be time consuming and very annoying! Is there a way to make the folder with my projects in it the one that it opens up first? Thanks in advance.

try this:

create a new project/with workspace ..
quit msvc ..
open the workspace by (double)click the .dsw file..
quit msvc again ..

now the directory containing the .dsp file from above should
be the start-directory when you open a workspace from the msvc menuentry "open workspace"..

this is a msvc 6 standard edition "problem" but as far as i remember, this should fix it..

you can also take a look at the "last opened workspaces"-menuentry wich contains quicklinks to the last x opened workspaces ..
