Wireframe Terrain

All right, I have a file full of a whole bunch of values between 0 and 1 that I want to use as a wireframe... I''ve done the obvious of inputting this into a 2d array. Now, I''ve been working with various loops of GL_LINE_STRIP s for quite a while now and nothing is really working for me. Can someone give me an idea of how to do this. Also, what camera angle do you guys typically use to view these? I''m still young to opengl and would rather avoid spending an hour messing with random numbers until I find what I want. Thanks
