Hey all, I am developing a tool to be used by Chemists and Biologists to visualize molecules and proteins. One of the important views these people are screaming for is a surface-area representation. Is there an easy way to get OpenGL to display a volumetric surface mesh? I can generate the coordinate for the surface, but I''m not terribly sure on how to go about creating the mesh for it. I''ve read a myriad of papers and posts about rendering surfaces, but they seem focused on things like terrain (non-enclosed volumes) and rely on some basic assumptions about them. I''ve seen SOME posts that never go into any sort of discussion about these things, but allude to the fact that it is a VERY hairy problem. I could use some help on this one if anyone has any insight. Thanks a TON
