QuakeII md2 file format specs?

I need these specs. I have some code that loads that I got from the Inside Direct3D book but it is poorly documented and written and slow and hard to use. I want to parse it myself. MCSE, MCSD, Sun Certified Java Programmer Pimp Daddy ;)

The good folks at Chumbalum soft (makers of the nifty low-poly modeler Milkshape) happen to have mode a freely available MD2 viewer, w/source. I found their code VERY helpful in figuring out the MD2 file format.
