Is there anyone that knows where I can find some source-code or a tutorial that covers the Marching Cubes alghoritm, or any other algoritm used for creating "metaballs".

You can find a small demo with source code for metaballs at OpenGL Challenge. Check the results for Nov 1999.

If you don''t like that one, I could give you some of my code for volumerendering with marching cubes. (I should probably clean it up first though )

You can find a great piece of source that explains and
provides code for implementing the "Marching Cubes"
algorithm at:

http://www.swin.edu.au/astronomy/pbourke/modelling/polygonise/index.html

Only thing is if you are actually going to use this, make sure to move the triTable/edgeTable out of the function or make them "static" or else it''s really slow.
