Free GUI Framework...

Recommended Posts

I have written a small gui framework... while compiled in a dll, the source code is included. The coding is not perfect+there are a number of bugs but, it has some neat functions, like being able to read VB forms, etc. it supports buttons, lists, labels, combos, options, checks, lots of stuff... i really need comments and suggestions, so write back. without further ado, here it is: HERE [edited by - beaton_john on January 27, 2003 11:49:54 PM] NOW IT DLs! Look dude, it doesn''t work. Here''s your link:
http://www.geocities.com/easygui/easygui.zip.zip

It should be:
http://www.geocities.com/easygui/easygui.zip

If this is a sign of your attention to detail, I think I''ll pass on the library for now.

No, i posted the link correctly. it IS the first one, it uploaded badly. the reason most people were having trouble was because i forgot to add http:// , making it look like the file was internal.

it isn't a library... just an example of a gui... where's YOUR attention to detail?

I can get it, but I'm not going to install the fmod and DirectX SDKs just to test it out.

Oops... delete and unreference audio.h and audio.cpp - they're not needed. You should be able to get dinput.h off the web...

I don''t think so. I''m doing you a favour by trying this out, as you asked. I''m not going to fart around downloading header files just to compile it. Make a binary version available if you want people to try it. Those who are interested will look at the source if they want to.

stodge: He includes the binary AND sources if you want to see the sources. It''s implemented via a .dll and it''s included I presume (he says it is).

i downloaded it a few days ago, installed fmod to see what
all the hoopla was about, and it didnt compile.
havent messed with it since.

i''ll try to get the compiler error when i get home.. im at work
right now. (by the way, binaries were not included, so i
cant comment on how it runs/looks/ect)
