hi, i''m preparing for my diploma thesis at austrian technical university. currently i''m in the search-state, looking for topics and infos. my work will deal with a new skeletal animation system featuring dynamic motions that react on physical params like wind/friction/mass/damage and so on... it would be cool to develop my "new" modelformat(API) and integrate it into an existing game-engine like quake. so it really would look nice and people can imagine the benefits? my question is: how easy is it, to replace existing models in quake-engine with mine and include my own animationsystem? how big do you estimate the effort? thx, ghostdog666
