x files and textures

Hi, i created an x-file with 3ds max and the dx9 plug-in from microsoft In mesh viewer is everything ok but i don't see the mesh in my game. When i don't use textures ,i see the mesh. Everything works when i use milkshape. So i think my code is ok. Has anyone a solution? thx in advance. Freaker [edited by - Freaker13 on January 30, 2003 11:03:28 AM]

i had that before

if u open the .x file in wordpad
(if its a text .x file)
then search for your texture filename

i found
"c:\mytex~1\texture.jpg"

instead change it to say
"texture.jpg"

I highly recommend this exporter!

thx now i see textures.
But my textures aren't tiled anymore.

When i use the panda exporter i don't see anything when i use textures (the path to the textures is as you said) but i don't know the functions of some options.

Make sure you give the material a name beginning with a alpha character otherwise Mesh viewer and DX3DX routines don''t like loading the .X file.

Hi,
if an alpha character is an char betwenn a-z or A-Z then that''s ok.
My code seems also ok because it works with x files from Milkshape
