AVI texture problems

I am using Vfw.h and its functions. To get the packed DIB I do: pPackedDib = (unsigned char *)AVIStreamGetFrame(pGetFrame, j); tempPtr=pPackedDib; tempPtr += sizeof(BITMAPINFOHEADER); glTexImage2D(GL_TEXTURE_2D, 0, 3, width, height, 0, GL_BGR_EXT,GL_UNSIGNED_BYTE, tempPtr); but nothing happens.. I bind them properly as well. What can be wrong?

sorry if i''m not a big help with this, but i just wanna ask, you CAN load up AVI files as textures in opengl?
