Graphic user interfaces, a little help please

I am looking for examples of how people might have coded and organized user interfaces for games. What kind of structures did they use? What did they find was the most effencit way? Basically just general tips and some good pointers, etc. Thanks.

I think paragui was done well, go to www.libsdl.org, then the libraries page or

is the current page cause for some reason,

is unavailable.
