Need help with a linker error

I am getting this wierd linker error LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file "nafxcwd.lib" I have no idea why though I''m not trying to link to that file anywhere its so confusing.

look through all your headers for a reference to that file... it sounds like an include for afxwin.h, - > maybe one of the files was copied badly of the compiler cd...

that's a static library for mfc. if you intended to use mfc, make sure you have it installed - go to microsoft visual studio\vc98\mfc\lib or microsoft visual studio.net\vc7\atlmfc\lib directory and check if you have anything at all/that library there. if you have mfc libs, but only dynamic ones, you can change project options to link to mfc dynamically, in which case the linker will look for mfc70d.lib and the such.

if you didn't intend to use mfc, something in your code includes one of the mfc headers - their names begin with afx. replace the include with a non-mfc include that provides equivalent functionality or remove it altogether.
