BitBlt in c++ versus VB

would making a Bitblt game (by which i mean using Bitblt to display, versus an api like directx) be slower or faster than bitblt in vb. im interested in c++ because of its power and speed, but will using bitblt put me back to square 1? i code therefore i am.

I suggest you learn Direct Draw 7 for C++ (but it can be used in VB as well). It has the same capabilities as BitBlt, but 1000 times the speed.
