Intersect and subsets?

Does the .intersect mesh function ignore mesh subsets, or do you have to itterate through them? And if it does ignore subsets, is there a way to get it to actually use them (for optional subsets... eg where a character has a machine gun and a rocket launcher, but you only draw the mg subset, or the rl subset depending on what''s being carried)?

i don''t think id3dxintersect ignore mesh subsets, just feed it with an id3dxmesh object and it will calculate any intersection that might happen very precisely,
