Well, I would advise to use any microphone other than the kind that comes with your computer. Feel free to get in touch about specific recording questions, should they arise(I''ll PM you my email). There are plenty of programs that will work on a shareware basis, I myself use Cool Edit and Sound Forge, but those are full fledged audio suites. You can try to use Sound Recorder straight out of windows, but I would seriously advise to find someone who''s done this before, at least a little bit, with a decent mic, software and sound card. Crappy audio makes me turn games off.

What do you mean by a resource for music integration? If you''re referring to an easy way to get the program playing sounds and music, I highly recommend BASS, at www.un4seen.com . It''s free for your project if your project is freeware. For inclusions of your music, if you''re not going to use MIDI, or tracked formats, then you should compress your music to MP3 or OGG vorbis formats, purely for space considerations. For quick mp3 compression, search for a prog called SCMPX.

Hope this helps a bit.
