GetViewport() problems solved in DX 9 ?

hi tehre! In DX8 GetViewport() didn''t work correctly on most of the graphic cards... has this changed in DX9 ?? as i can see in the SDK documentation GetViewport now also works with Pure Devices, but does it make less problems then in DX8 now ? thx in advance hansi pirman

There was some confusion in DX8, even by some Microsoft people, whether pure devices supported GetViewport. It was not a driver issue.

DX8 pure devices do not support GetViewport. DX9 pure devices do.
