matrixmanipulation between glbeing().. end()

somewhere in the redbook *which i have read completely* it mentions right now you can t execute matrixmanipulation between glBegin() glEnd() since the red book is quite some time old did they enable matrixmanipulation between these 2 function now or not?

Just create a matrix class, copy all the verticies and put put all the copies through the martix to create a temporarly translated / rotated set of verticies, and then send them to OpenGL..

The spec is never changed. Features are added, but not changed. And if you think it''s old, have a look in the latest specification instead.
