I''m researching both pixel and vertex shader techniques but I''m having trouble finding any good tutorials that will step me through the basics of creating a shader, and more importantly implementing it with OpenGL. I find TONS of info and demo shaders and examples, but I really need a walkthrough of the general process, something simple, concise, and with a good explanation of the steps. IF anyone knows of a tutorial please post it here or email me at sagevann@yahoo.com

If I where you I would get a copy of the shaderx book, and the shaderx2 book when it comes out. I would also check out Cgshaders.org, as it''s much easier to figure things out when you are working with a C tpye language then asm.

I hate to nitpick, but you made a common misconception. "Where for art thou tutorials" really means "Why are you, tutorials?", not: "where are tutorials".

Yes, Pythonfan is correct. If you recall the most famous lines in Romeo and Juliet, from which you were obviously borrowing, Juliet isn''t wondering where Romeo is; she asks [monologue], "Why is Romeo a Montigue and not a Capulet?"
