I''m interested in landcape engines (like in Myth II). But I don''t really know how to make one. Any good online tutorials? - DarkMage139 "Real game developers don't change the rules. Have a look at http://www.vterrain.org for information about programming a landscape engine. Other terms you might want to look out for are:

Quadtree
Heightfield
Perlin Noise (for random terrain)

Hope this helps you on your way

Hi,
in the Longbow Digital Arts Forum, there is a thread about Open-Source landscape-engines using the ROAM-algorithm, so you could have a look at that board.
