Direct3D or OpenGL?
Heh, flame bait. Perhaps GameDev should have a permanent feature on this for those that miss the posts?

If your trying to beat the General programmers post on the message boards, I really doubt you will succede. I suggest that you dont ask a dumb question. You will get one of three responses:
1/2.) OpenGl/Direct3D sucks because (insert some lacking feature here) and OpenGL/Direct3D is awesome because ( insert positive feature here)
3.) Both APIs are reasonably good, and you should choose the one that suits your needs and appeals most to you,etc.,etc.
I suggest 3.
