This is my problem: bitmaps I load don''t display in 32-bit color mode, on in 16-bit. In 32-bit mode, it only displays a black box. I load 24-bit bmp''s and convert them into whatever color mode I''m using. The 32-bit conversion is practially the same as 16-bit, but without the scaling of colors and storing an aplha channel byte. Does DirectDraw not display 32-bit surfaces currently, or is it my code? (NOTE: I have my desktop set to 32-bit mode)

You have to make sure the game is being set up for 32 bit, when you create the window, and you give it the size (x & y resolution) you also give it the color depth. My guess is your setting this to only 16 bit. If you change that number to 32, all should work fine.

Never mind!

I found what was causing the problem. I had been using old variables in the loop code.
