Hi Everyone, I''m gonna start a new DirectX project soon and want to control the element that plagued my last game - Lost Devices! What I want to know is when you''re planning a project how do you cope with the lost devices? I know the commands like TestCooperativeLevel etc involved in dealing with the device ... how do "remember" which graphics were in use before the device was lost etc? Thanks Ray

I usually have a component that sorts and handles "states" such as textures/animation/shaders etc. These are per-frame accurate states settings which i can refer to in the event of total reset, such as user changing resolution etc.

hope this helps.
