Hi,I was looking around on the internet and saw this thing about Truespace. I just want to ask the experts.....what kind of programming skills do you need to use Truespace....I also saw this thing that said you needed something like Adobe to use Truespace....Also,Do you need Artistic skills to use it or something like Maya or 3Ds MAX? Although i''ll never have enough money to buy either.....

Personally, I''d go for Cinema 4D. It costs the same as TrueSpace but gets better reviews. You don''t need any programming skills to start using it, but learning the program will take a bit of effort. Find out more here: www.maxon.de

well,i am not an expert, just an hobbyist...
personally i ´d go for truespace.it costs the same as cinema 4d...hehe ;-)

i love the interface of truespace.i have tested cinema 4d for some seconds, and wasn´t able to create a simple sphere, which is one button in truespace...maybe this happened because of my two left hands...:-P

but this is just my little coin...it´s not the tool you use,it`s the result that counts :-)

programming skills? you have to be able to move your mouse ;-)

rendering , animating and modeling is a very wide field.so as atlas said ,it´s a lot to learn.

it would help to have some artistic skills for using any 3d rendering software, because the result is like a painted picture...if you have no clue how a tree is looking, how will you create one?but it´s no must.learning by doing...

that adobe thing is just:you can use adobe plugins for some post process rendering effects in ts 6 as i know.still working with ts 4.3...
but you surely need sometimes a paint program to fix or to change some stuff at the ready rendered images...

one more point about programming skills:you can run python scripts in truespace.you could even make a little game with this, but i have never used the python thing ...

Uhm... making a sphere in Cinema4d can be done in one mouse click too, so ya know.

And, my suggestion is Cinema4d. I''ve used the program extensively. Its an excellent beginner program.

The secret to all 3d modelling programs is the interface. Learn that and you are set.

Beyond that, its all the same really

allright,it WAS my two left hands,LOL :-P

but is it really all the same?hm...why don´t i use anim8tor then? or pov ray?

the features are nearly the same in the newest generation.there you are right, but the interface....the interface...

i still think that the ts interface is a bit more intuitive to use.but at the end it´s a thing of faith...the result counts :-)
