I''ve had a bit of a search around but haven''t found an answer for this... I''m programming a project at home using Nvidia openGL drivers. The computer labs at uni (where I have to demonstrate the program) all use the Microsoft software defaults. Is it possible to force my home pc to temporarily use the MS drivers, to check performance with hardware and software rendering? running windows xp, with gf2 mx. cheers

The only way I know how is to use nv30 emulation as it also has an option to render in software.

http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=nv30_emulation

and

http://www.nvidia.com/docs/IO/3260/ATT/NVEmulate.exe

don''t forget you need the 40.41 drivers

hope this helps,
rich

You can also choose a pixelformat that isnt Accelerated, just get all pixelformat ( with DescribePixelformat) and check for the acceleration flags ( in just the pf.flags ) and set a pixelformat that says its unaccelerated.
