OpenGL Opengl in a dialog component

Hey, I currently making a game, and it envolves spaceships.....the trick is that the spaceships are completely customizable....shape etc.(Remember ELITE2). I need to make an app that can display models in a "picturebox" type control, on a form that you can use to mix different models and create ships. Is this a simple task? The game stuff is no prob, but displaying any opengl in a control.....ay there''s the rub.
