As.Net Framework SDK cannot be installed on WinME or Win98, how can I compile the source code which is written in C# or VB.net on WinME or Wn98??

The problem is that the Microsoft C# compiler makes use of features present in the Microsoft .NET Framework. I''m not sure if you can compile C# programs without the .NET Framework installed - at least not at this time.

The .NET framework can be installed on any windows system > win95. VISUAL STUDIO.NET needs to be installed on Win2k or WinXPro. You can download the command line tools for free from Microsoft''s website.

Hm.

The .NET Framework SDK runs on:

Microsoft Windows NT® 4.0 (SP 6a required)
Microsoft Windows® 2000 (SP 2 recommended)
Microsoft Windows XP Professional
