Rendering XZ Plane

Hi, Im trying to render the xz plane as it is the basis of my level. The plane contains loads of diffrent 32x32 tiles which make up the tile. At the moment im rendering each quad with the textured tile invidually which is obivously really slow as it is calling drawprimitive about 100 + times. What I need is a way to render the tiles all at once (not that hard ) , but only rendering the tiles that are in the viewing frustum. Maybe I should store the vectors representing the viewinfrustum and multiply them with the view matrix. Then I could ignore the y axis and get the positions and loop through them. Then call one draw primitive Can you think of a better way ? thanx in advance Iain
