HI, I am trying to do keyframing in a c++ DX9 game engine that a few of us are developing and i am going around in circles. I have studied teh olphin example that comes with the sdk but vertex shaders are frying my brain. Is there an easier way. Basically i am looking to load in a texture and a few x files (3 probably) and i wast to animate it by interpolating between them without using vertex shaders. I was told that this can be done using a setrenderstate .. Does any1 know of any good books/ online tutorials / examples Any help would be hugely appreciated Thanx a mill Sean

hi,

you could try first the skinned mesh example, try to understand their software skinning method, this way, you can avoid the vertex shader,
