hi, my bsp compiler reads an x-file and convert it to a bsp file. But my engine divide the world in triangles and i ''ve read that polys(n-sided) are better. How can i convert the x-files in polies?

is there an algo to convert a vertexbuffer to polygons instead of triangles?

current hardware only deals with triangles so quads etc are not better
