Okay, I''ve finished my first game, a Tetris clone. Now, my question is, how do I compile it all into an executable, so that I don''t need to use my C++ to play it? Also, my game reads the Block Type data from a file "Block Types.dat". Will that be compiled into my game or will this file always have to be in the same folder as the executable for my game to work?? Thanks in advance - God is my favorite fictional character

Congratulations on your game!

Your game is actually already in an executable. Check the "Debug" folder inside the folder you were developing in. If that fails, search for the file project_name.exe on your computer. Yes, "Block Types.dat" will need to be in the same folder.

If the game is completely finished then you''d be better of doing a "Release" build that will reduce the final size of the .exe so it''s easier to distribute.
