Helo Can anybody please explain to me in a few words haw to properly use D3DXLoadMeshHierarchyFromX() function. I would just like to load and play a simple animation (without bone structure, skinig, ...etc. ). I tryed real hard a couple of times ... I know haw to make class derived from D3DXAllocateHierarchy and setup its four functions. My D3DXLoadMeshHierarchyFromX() returns D3D_OK, but when I want to render my pFrame->pMeshContainer = NULL. Thanks

If you are not bent on using the skinned mesh sample, I think you should take a different approach to animating your cube. It is possible to use key frames and interpolate between them. I think it is much easier to load some positions and rotations and interpolate between them. This also saves the headache of looking at the skinnedmesh sample.
